After a reveal earlier this year that generated… mixed responses, news on Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad game went dark as the game was delayed to February 2nd, 2024.
Now, Warner Bros, DC, and Rocksteady have unveiled a new video series designed to give you a detailed look both at the game and behind-the-scenes development. Featuring prominent developers from Rocksteady, and members of the game’s cast, you can now get a better look into Rocksteady’s open-world version of Metropolis and the core mechanics – most notably the combat and traversal flow.
There’s also a strong focus placed on the story elements, how it will play out, and the sort of humour that will be riddled throughout. No more details were given beyond how the characters broadly play, so we still don’t know much about their unique abilities, or how the multiple-character dynamic will actually work in battles. Thankfully, we can expect further videos to dive deeper into the game’s mechanics, specifically character swapping and gear as the series progresses towards the release date.
If you missed the original marketing, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League puts players into the shoes of Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang, and Deadshot as they’re sent into a war-torn Metropolis by Amanda Waller to “kill” the Justice League, who have been corrupted by Brainiac.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League releases on February 2nd, 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series machines, and PC.
