Slaps And Beans 2 Releases This Week

Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are digitally back again in Slaps and Beans 2, the sequel to the 2017 movie-inspired, side-scrolling beat-em-up, Slaps and Beans.

Slaps and Beans takes its inspiration from Bud Spencer and Terence Hill’s classic comedies of yesteryear, replete with the absurdity and general slapping fun that made the iconic duo famous. Slaps and Beans 2 follows from the ending of the first game, and now our heroes have to make their way home. Of course, if everything went smoothly, it wouldn’t be any fun, would it? So cue lots of fighting, minigames, and humorous set pieces based around various scenes from the movies themselves.

The game will feature lush 80’s pixel art, a co-op mode (it is a brawler after all), an improved combat system with new environmental dynamics, voice-overs in four languages, 4-player competitive minigames, and fresh music.

Slaps and Beans 2 returns as a scrolling fighting game with a retro gaming, co-op or single player look with a platform mechanic that allows the player to control Bud Spencer and Terence Hill in a revised and improved version of the combat system. Brand new environment dynamics that progressively add enemies as the difficulty increases and of course again with lots of funny quotes.

Slaps and Beans 2 releases for Nintendo Switch, Xbox platforms, PS4/5, and PC on September 22, 2023. That’s just enough time for you to play through the excellent first game, if you haven’t already – and maybe take a dive into Bud Spencer and Terence Hill’s filmography, if you’re a neophyte.
