If you’ve been waiting for a release date for the next Batman themed game, specifically WB Montreal’s Bat-family centric Gotham Knights, then wait no further for Gotham Knights finally has a release date. Almost a full year after it was announced the game would be delayed into 2022, Gotham Knights is now on track for an October release, specifically October 25th, 2022.
Featuring four playable characters, Gotham Knights will pop you into the armored spandex of Batman’s extended family, namely Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing and Red Hood. The Bat-family will face off against familiar Batman foes such as Mr. Freeze while dealing with the new big bad, The Court of The Owls and their superhuman Talon assassins sometime after Batman’s apparent death. While the designs and setting feel very much as though the game is set in Rocksteady’s Arkham series universe, the developers are keeping mum on whether or not the games are linked, along with just what other surprises the game may have in store.
Sadly, beyond the release date, no further details were released though we can expect more details to drop as the game nears its release date.
Gotham Knights will be available on PS4, PS5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series machines come October 25th, 2022.
