With Scarlet Nexus being one of the most anticipated releases from Bandai Namco this June, they have commissioned popular Street Artist, Jim Vision, to create a mural for their brainpunk anime-styled action role-playing game.
Using 50 cans of spray paint, 33 shades of colour and 4 neon colours, the artwork looks brainpunkin’ fantastic.
Jim says: “This part of East London felt like a fitting place to produce this piece of art. You look down one road and you see the quiet residential streets that were once the stomping ground of legendary London gangsters, The Krays, then you turn the corner, and you are surrounded by a huge city landscape of high-rise futuristic buildings very similar to Scarlet Nexus”.
You can view a timelapse video of it being created below:
Scarlet Nexus is set in a far distant future, where a psionic hormone was discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers and changing the world as we know it. Just as humanity was entering this new era, deranged mutants known as Others began to descend from the sky with a thirst for human brains. Highly resistant to conventional attack methods, extreme measures needed to be taken to battle the overwhelming threat and preserve humanity. Those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psionics, were our chance to fight the onslaught from above. To this day, psionics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force (OSF), humanity’s last line of defence.
Scarlet Nexus launched today on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S | X and PC.
